Smith & Allan Select Compound 220 & 460 Bearing Oils are designed for use in applications typically associated with steam equipment. The formulation of these compounded lubricants incorporates a small amount of fatty oil to give superior lubricity compared to conventional oilsand will maintain a stronger oil film in severely overloaded conditions thus preventing failures.
Smith & Allan Select Compound Bearing Oils can be used in all total loss applications where the unique properties that these lubricants offer is needed. They provide lubrication in wet conditions and can be used in slides, gears and general rail applications. These grades offer excellent feed characteristics and can be used for wool wicks and axle bearing pads. They are also recommended for older types of rolling axle stock boxes with plain bearings.
