Smith & Allan Heavy Duty System Cleaner

Description
HD System Cleaner is a highly effective biocidal cleaning fluid containing additives which improve the condition of a coolant sump before cleanout. The product is specially formulated for the cleaning & sterilisation of machine tools where water-mix metalworking fluids are employed. The product is highly effective at lifting oily residues and swarf from heavily contaminated systems, whilst at the same time eliminating bacterial and fungal spores.

Applications
HD System Cleaner should be used at a concentration of 2 - 3%, the product should be added to the in-use metalworking fluid and circulated for between 24 and 48 hours prior to fluid change. The ‘old’ fluid should then be drained from the machine and the system flushed with fresh clean water before the machine is filled with a new charge of metalworking fluid. If the coolant is badly contaminated this cleaner can be used at 5% and circulated overnight. In this case operatives should not carry out machining operations during cleaning cycle. Clean out as previous instructions.
